What is Biotechnology

What is Biotechnology?

So… In a nutshell, biotechnology covers a fairly broad area of the field of biology. This includes anything from living systems to organisms to developing or making products. The four main areas covered are medical, agricultural, environmental and industrial. Of course as noted within our courses, there are overlaps into other areas of science. Various types of biotechnological testing have been adopted with some major advances improving the detail and accuracy and expeditious.

Biotechnology Testing

The focus of our training related to PCR testing and the use of its instrumentation. PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) copies small portions of DNA and with their amplification allows for genetic and molecular analyses with ease. In fact testing of Coronavirus samples involves this same testing technique and instrumentation.
